The 2022 UTRU Nominating Convention will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM and will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams. Login information is provided at the bottom of this post.
Those wishing to be elected to the Board of Directors must complete the nomination form and were closed at midnight Saturday, October 8, 2022.

Convention Rules
Robert’s Rules of Order
The Executive Director will act as parliamentarian and UTRU will follow the rules of Robert’s Rules of Order in order to conduct the meeting.
Eligible Voters
In order to vote for members of the Board of Directors, an individual must have paid dues to UTRU between October 1, 2021 and October 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM Mountain Standard Time.
The minimum UTRU due is $5 or the average daily cost for you to use transit, whichever is higher.
Dues above the $5/daily ridership cost minimum are appreciated, but do not result in additional votes.
Dues must be paid annually.
Voting
A Google Survey will be sent when voting begins from the Executive Director’s email address (curtis.haring@utru.org) to the email address entered when an individual paid their dues.
Voting will remain open for 15 minutes from the time the ballot is sent and no additional time will be provided.
UTRU members will be electing a total of nine Board of Director positions during the convention.
In the event that nine or fewer individuals are nominated for the ballot, members will vote yes or no as to if each individual should sit on the Board of Directors and all those receiving a majority in the affirmative will be seated for their term.
In the event that 10 or more individuals are nominated for the ballot, UTRU will list a ranked choice voting system. Members will be asked to rank their preferred candidates and the candidate receiving the fewest preferred votes will be eliminated; individuals who listed the eliminated candidate first will then have their affirmative second place vote distributed among the remaining candidates and the individual receiving the fewest votes will be eliminated in the second round. The process will repeat until nine candidates remain and those nine will sit on the Board of Directors.
