UTA - Box Elder to Weber County Corridor PreservationThe Brigham City Transit Corridor Study was completed it 2007. It examined options for a transit link between Ogden and Brigham City. The report found that commuter rail would be the best mode to connect the two communities. UTA - Davis - SLC Community Connector Study (Local Route)UTA is working in partnership with city and regional representatives to plan for public transportation improvements to support growth between southern Davis County and northern Salt Lake County. Building on the successes of routes 455 and 470, and aligning with the larger plan for transportation in the area, the Davis-SLC Community Connector is a proposed Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system connecting communities to opportunities including jobs, entertainment, and recreation. UTA - Davis - SLC Community Connector - (Regional Route)UTA is working in partnership with city and regional representatives to plan for public transportation improvements to support growth between southern Davis County and northern Salt Lake County. UTA - Granary District Spur LineThe Utah Transit Authority’s Future of Light Rail (FOLR) was launched in early 2020 and concluded in January 2023 with the completion of the UTA Light Rail Strategic Plan. The study included a comprehensive analysis of the region’s light rail and streetcar network. The goal of the study was to guide regional transportation improvements that included light rail and streetcar in both the short and long term. Service expansion scenarios were generally limited to projects shown as funded in the Metropolitan Planning Organizations’ (WFRC and MAG) 2019 Regional Transportation Plans that did not have a current study underway.ProposedLink

UTA - Mid-Valley ConnectorThe Federal Transit Administration and the Utah Transit Authority – in partnership with Taylorsville, Murray, West Valley City, UDOT, WFRC, SLCC, and Salt Lake County – is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) and design for a new bus rapid transit (BRT) facility from Murray Central Station to the SLCC Redwood Campus in Taylorsville and West Valley Central Station.Environmental Assessment StudyLink

UTA - Tooele Transit StudyIn 2020-2021, Utah Transit Authority, Tooele County, Tooele City, Grantsville City, Wasatch Front Regional Council and Utah Department of Transportation worked together to study potential transit solutions for the Tooele area that take into account current and future growth. The objective of this study was to evaluate and recommend transit services to meet the demands of population growth, continue supporting economic development opportunities and maintain regional mobility for connections within Tooele Valley and between Tooele Valley and Salt Lake Valley.StudiedLink

UTA - Ogden Express (OGX)Ogden Express (formerly route 603) will provide riders a clean-air ride in an electric bus from the Ogden FrontRunner Station, through downtown, along dedicated bus lanes in the center of the road on Harrison Boulevard and through the Weber State University campus, and to McKay-Dee Hospital. When operational, riders will be able to catch the bus every 10-15 minutes on weekdays and 15-30 minutes on weekends. UDOT - Little Cottonwood Canyon GondolaThe Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) began an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in the spring of 2018 for Little Cottonwood Canyon (LCC) and Wasatch Boulevard in partnership with Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service to provide an integrated transportation system that improves the reliability, mobility and safety for residents, visitors, and commuters who use S.R. 210.ApprovedLink
CVTA - FrontRunner Double-TrackingAn option for new service in Logan would be a Main Street Shuttle operating from the Walmart on the north end of town, located at 1550 N Main St., to the Walmart on the south end of town, located at 1150 S 100 W, with stops along Main Street and at the Intermodal Transit Center in both directions. The shuttle would operate on a 30 minute frequency, with a roundtrip route length of approximately eight miles.ProposedLink (Page 288)
CVTA - Express Service to SmithfieldThis option consists of an express service between Smithfield and the Intermodal Transit Center in Logan. The express service would have two runs during the morning peak and two runs in the afternoon peak.ProposedLink (Page 289)
CVTA - North Logan CirculatorResults from the onboard survey and online community survey expressed the desire for increased CVTD bus service in North Logan, especially with a direct connection to USU. Approximately three percent of written comments received from the onboard survey questionnaire (28 respondents) expressed the desire for CVTD expanding its current service area, of which three respondents specifically indicated expanding the service area to North Logan. Additionally, about nine percent of written comments received from the online community survey questionnaire (81 respondents) expressed the desire for CVTD expanding its current service area, of which five respondents specifically indicated expanding service in North Logan. CVTA - Logan to Brigham CityCommunity input expressed the desire for bus service to Brigham City and Ogden. Extending CVTD service to Brigham City would increase regional connectivity by allowing passengers to connect with UTA which provides bus service between Brigham City and Ogden, as well as provides Frontrunner rail service between Ogden and Salt Lake City. This route could also provide service through Wellsville as an alternate route. This would increase the running time and mileage by a small amount.ProposedLink (Page 294)
CVTA - Logan to Pleasant ViewThe furthest north UTA’s Frontrunner rail service operates is Pleasant View Station, just north of Ogden. CVTA - Logan AirportCVTD has received requests in the past to serve Logan Airport. The airport is a general aviation facility without commercial air service. Demand would be passengers in private aircraft arriving in Logan and aviation students commuting to the airport for training.ProposedLink (Page 305)
CATS - Division of single route into North, Central, and Southern LoopCurrent CATS headways are long and limited route reach can negatively impact ridership in the scheduled route system. Optimizing CATS routes might include splitting the current continuous bus routes into three different loops as well as expanding service west of I-15. The new system can decrease headways and make travel more efficient for transit riders. Funds for transit improvements include UDOT and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).ProposedLink (Page 62)
SunTran - Airport BRT RouteA bus rapid transit line, servicing St George Airport is a viable service in the long term. However, in the short term interim bus service should be provided to begin phasing toward a BRT line. The St George Urbanized Area Short Range and Long Range Transit Plan (2006) identifies an express route to the airport. SunTran - Hurricane BRT RouteThe Dixie Bus Rapid Transit Feasibility Study (BRT study) and the Hurricane to Zion Canyon Transit Study both point to the potential short term and long term viability of transit service in this corridor.ProposedLink (Page 46)
SunTran - Hurricane to Zion NP RouteThe Hurricane to Zion Canyon Transit Study evaluates and recommends transit service between Hurricane and Zion National Park. SunTran - Washington City RouteA concept route to Washington City was presented in the Dixie MPO Regional Transit Study.
