You Care About Quality Transit - Why Not Take the Next Step? Nominate Yourself To Be a Board Member Today!
We understand that the idea of sitting on a non-profit board might sound intimidating, but UTRU's only real requirement of its board members is a passion for better transit across Utah and a desire to fight for it.
If that sounds like you, you should consider nominating yourself as a board member today!
Board members are expected to attend a monthly 1-hour board meeting, which is held both online and in person, and specific positions such as President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer may also require additional time commitments.
We also hold quarterly membership meetings that last between 1-2 hours, and you may be asked to advocate for UTRU and transit through presentations, fundraising, and outreach.
Your nomination is due by 12:01 AM, Monday, October 16, 2023.
To nominate yourself, simply click here to fill out our nomination form.
Though nominations are open to all, UTRU specifically wishes to encourage women, minorities, and/or those who live outside of Salt Lake County to run. Nominees who have one or more of these attributes may be invited to sit on the board in auxiliary roles even if they don't get enough votes to sit on the board otherwise.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to UTRU Executive Director, Curtis Haring, at curtis.haring@utru.org.
